Prof. Julia Tsenova (1948) is a composer
with a bright creative presence - imposed in the middle of the seventies, when she graduated both Composition and Piano in
the State Musical Academy in Sofia in the class of the famous bulgarian composer Prof. Pantcho Vladigerov. Tsenova took part
in the International Composers' class in Amsterdam , directed by Prof. Ton de Leeuw - Holland (1982). She attended many
workshops in Europe. Her music was performed in different contemporary festivals, as well as at the International Composers'
Rostrum in Paris (1995).
Prof. Julia Tsenova - Dean in the State Musical Academy in Sofia is a member
of the Union of the Bulgarian Composers as well as of the International Society for Contemporary Music, and a President of
the Bulgarian section.
All her Compositions are performed in different musical forums in Austia,
Switzerland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Norway, Hungary, Canada, Rumania, Slovakia , India, Australia, Spain and other
countries.
She has been given a lot of awards for Chamber, Choir, Scenic and Children's
music. Her name is in the Royal Encyclopedia of Britain and in the German Encyclopedia Music in Geschiche und Gegenwart. She
was elected as a Woman of the Year 1995-6 by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge - England,and included in
"2000 outstanding people of the 20th century" - Encyclopedia of Cambridge 1998. In the same year she was also awaeded with
Distinguished leadership Award by the American Biographical Music and her biography in included in the International Directory
of Distinguished Leadership.
